Luna Sicat Blogs

It seems that Luna Sicat, author of Makinilyang Altar (2002), has been keeping a blog for some time now. The entries mostly deal with the creative process behind her new novel-in-progress, and some thoughts on  literary works and writers she had some form of encounter with. Other posts are presented as fiction works, like “Sacred Heart Novitiate.” I enjoy her reflections and comments on the demands and limits of craft.

I just hope that many novelists in Filipino would also begin writing their own blogs. Even if we sometimes say that the novel is separate from the author, notes on the writer’s poetics written by herself can definitely contribute a lot to the understanding (and for a fan like me, appreciation) of her work(s) in consideration.
